Beverage Forum Honors Innovation Zone Winners

Beverage Forum attendees have spoken. The audience at the 20th annual global beverage conference in New York City have selected Joia All Natural Soda, 12NtM Sparkling Beverages and Purple Grace ready-to-drink tea as the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners, respectively, in the Forum's inaugural Innovation Zone new beverage showcase.


SABMiller Prioritizes Cost Savings, But Profit Falls

SABMiller PLC Thursday said it is prioritizing cost savings, price increases and sales of premium lager across emerging markets, but the brewer's annual profit fell. Developing beer economies support global brewers as Western beer markets struggle, but SAB Miller has also warned of slowing economic growth in key Latin American markets. (Fox Business)


Britvic to Close Hometown Plant

Britvic is to close its factory in Chelmsford, the city where the company was founded in the 19th Century, as part of plans to cut hundreds of jobs. The closure of the Fruit Shoot and J20 fruit drinks plant will result in about 230 job losses. (BBC News)


Red Jacket Orchards Juices Now at Tops

Red Jacket Orchards, a third generation family owned orchard with an advanced Kosher and L.E.E.D certified "green" juice facility, now offers direct-from-the orchard juices at Tops Friendly Markets. Terrapin Launches Its First Canned Offering

Terrapin Beer Co. is bringing a new shape to shelves with the release of RecreationAle, the company's first offering to be packaged in 12 oz. cans. This is the second addition to its year-round line-up in 2013, bringing the total number of beers available regardless the season up to five. RecreationAle, a hopped-up session ale, is Terrapin's nod to all things recreational.
