Coke, Aujan Group form 2 New Beverage Firms

The Coca-Cola Company and Aujan Group Holding announced Sunday the formation of two new world-class beverage companies, the Aujan Coca-Cola Beverages Company and Rani Refreshments, following the successful investment by The Coca-Cola Company into approximately half of Aujan’s beverage business. Coke Takes Full Control of Innocent

Coca-Cola is taking full control of Innocent smoothies in a deal that will make millions of pounds for the company's founders. Coke, which first bought an 18% stake in the company in 2009, refused to disclose the terms of the deal but is likely to have paid substantially more than the £76m it paid for a further 38% in 2010. TTB Approves Cachaca as Distinctive Product of Brazil

On February 25, 2013, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) will publish a final rule in the Federal Register amending its regulations regarding the standards of identity for distilled spirits to recognize "Cachaça" as a type of rum and as a distinctive product of Brazil. This final rule will be effective on April 11, 2013.
