Pepsi Energizing Breakfast with Kickstart

Dawn breaks this morning on Kickstart, a new sparkling juice beverage from Mountain Dew. Available in two flavors, Orange Citrus and Fruit Punch, and 80-calories per 16 oz. can, Pepsi says Kickstart presents a fresh alternative to the age old morning question of “coffee or juice." It combines the taste of Mountain Dew with five percent real fruit juice and caffeine.

Constellation Wants Legal Role in Merger Battle

Calif. Winegrape Harvest Called Largest to Date

The Preliminary California Grape Crush Report shows the 2012 Winegrape crop reached an all-time high of 4.014 M Tons, which was surprising given the limited amount of new planting in the state. This production was needed given the shorter crops from the previous two years and the growing consumer demand for case goods. This will provide supply to wineries and bring the overall market back into balance as we enter 2013.

Jameson's Master Distiller Retiring After 47 Years

Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard today announced that Barry Crockett, Master Distiller of Jameson Irish Whiskey, will retire this March, bidding a fond farewell to the Midleton Distillery in Cork after 47 years; 31 of which he spent as Master Distiller. The announcement comes, fittingly, in the week in which Whisky Advocate honored Crockett with its Lifetime Achievement award. Brian Nation, who has been mentored by Barry Crockett for the last ten years, will take over the role of Master Distiller.
