Shaquille O'Neal to Launch 'Luv Shaq' Vodka

Shaquille O’Neal will launch his own gluten-free, sugar-free brand of vodka, “Luv Shaq” in early 2013. Not much is known about his latest foray, but the vodka will be in direct competition with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ line of vodka, Ciroc, though at a “more competitive price,” according to the founder of Devotion Vodka, the brand that will produce it for O’Neal. AB InBev, Budvar Talks Over Budweiser Name Collapse

They've been arguing about a name for 106 years. A small brewer in the Czech Republic and the world's biggest beer maker have been suing each other over the right to put the word Budweiser on their bottles in what has become a David versus Goliath corporate saga. A deal, it seems, will have to wait a bit longer because settlement talks between state-owned Budejovicky Budvar and Anheuser-Busch, a US company now part of AB InBev, have collapsed, according to Budvar's director general, Jiri Bocek. CCE Sees 2012 EPS at High End of Forecast

Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. (CCE) said it expects full-year 2012 earnings at the high-end of its previous guidance. The bottler also predicts 2013 EPS growth of about 10%. For 2012, CCE expects comparable earnings per share (EPS) in a range of $2.20 to $2.24, with results expected at the high end of the range, including the negative impact of currency translation. Currency translation will decrease full-year comparable EPS about 7.5 percent. (iStockAnalyst)


Constellation Goes Mobile with Wine Marketing

Constellation Brands, Inc. has launched a new mobile marketing program featuring popular wine brands within the shopkick mobile app during the industry's busiest season for wine and spirits sales. The free shopkick mobile app, with more than 4 million iPhone and Android users, is designed to reward shoppers for simply visiting traditional brick and mortar retailers and engaging with products while there.


Ocean Spray Appoints Developing Markets Exec

Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. has announced the promotion and appointment of Keith Benoit to vice president, Global Partners, Developing Markets. Benoit was formerly the Director of International/Latin America Markets and Director of Special Markets. He will now be overseeing all business development in the Latin America and Asia Pacific regions, and will also manage Ocean Spray’s North America alliance with PepsiCo.


New Beer Commemorates World's End

Brewers at The Thirsty Dog Brewing Company in Akron, Ohio, have crafted a beer to commemorate the end of the ancient Mayan calendar, which many believe signifies the end of the world will come tomorrow, on December 21, 2012. The brewers have named the commemorative beer the Mayan Last Dog. (Cleveland Leader)
