Initiative 1183 Could Mean Higher Liquor Prices in Washington

On the horizon of Initiative 1183 going into effect, bars and restaurants may face higher liquor prices. As of March 1, on-premise retailers can begin purchasing liquor directly from distilleries and distributors, but because of the fees imposed by the new law on distributors, they are likely to charge more for a bottle of alcohol.
