Global Financial Woes Could Put Squeeze on Wine Exports |

The sales and marketing director at Angove's Family Winemakers says the US credit crisis could potentially deliver a huge blow to wine exports from South Australia's Riverland.
Tim Boydell says the drought and low water allocations have already had a huge impact on Angoves, which sources grapes from across the Riverland.
But Mr Boydell says he is confident the industry will rise to meet the challenges that lie ahead.
"We know we are headed for tough times and we are certainly doing all that we can to prepare ourselves for a downturn globally," he said.
"We hope that it won't be as bad as everybody thinks, but we certainly think there's got to be fallout, but we'll be tightening our belt, we'll be carefully ensuring our cost base and doing all we can to continue to compete globally."
