Tsingtao Brewery Joins Hands with NBA on Brand Development

Tsingtao Brewery Co. Limited inked an agreement with NBA to jointly boost their brand development in overseas and domestic markets.

The two parties will join hands to launch a series of large-sized activities to attract more Chinese basketball fans. Via Tsingtao Brewery's powerful marketing channels, NBA can further extend itself in China and root in the country. Meanwhile, Tsingtao Brewery also can quicken the internationalization of its brand, noted Jin Zhiguo, board chairman of the beer maker.

As an important beer manufacturer in China, Tsingtao Brewery Co. Limited posted net profits of CNY 381 million for the first six months of 2008, jumping 32.4 percent from the January-June 2007 period.

Sales revenues amounted to CNY 7.791 billion, rising 15.6 percent from a year earlier. Operating profits climbed 7.88 percent year on year to CNY 543.2087 million and total profits increased 9.23 percent to CNY 596.0840 million. Basic earnings per share stood at CNY 0.2913.
