Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim star Torii Hunter has been named the newest celebrity spokesperson for Purple Beverage Co., Inc.'s antioxidant-rich beverage, Purple.
"We've really hit a home run, if you pardon my pun," says Ted Farnsworth, founder and CEO of Purple Beverage Co. "Torii is without a doubt one of baseball's great stars. Not only is he a two-time American League All-Star Team Member and seven-time Gold Glove winner, but he's also poised on the launch pad of a stellar career with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, having recently signed a 5-year, $90 million contract with the team. Having a player of Torii's caliber and popularity as part of our team is terrific. He's a man who's always in the sports spotlight, and we're delighted that he has chosen to share that spotlight with Purple."
Hunter will be the focus of Purple ad campaigns, including outdoor billboards and public appearances on behalf of Purple throughout the L.A. market. Additionally, Hunter will be out and about supporting the Purple brand at numerous local events and programs conducted by Purple Beverage Co.
"Simply put, it tastes great and it makes me feel great. It's something about Purple being loaded with antioxidants and my first bottle had me hooked. Wherever I am, I make sure my fridge is stocked with Purple. I can grab it on the go and know that I'm drinking something that will help to keep me healthy," says Hunter.
Purple is a blend of seven antioxidant-rich juices, including açai berry, black cherry, pomegranate, black currant, purple plum, cranberry and blueberry. The juices make up an all-natural, no-sugar added beverage that is designed as an on-the-go drink or as part of a fruit smoothie. Since debuting in 2007, Purple has been praised by such high-profile publications as Health Magazine and Family Circle.
Purple carries a suggested retail price of $2.99 for a 10-ounce bottle and can be found in health food stores, restaurants, delis, drug stores, supermarkets and convenience stores in select locations, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Hawaii. In February, Purple became available in select GNC stores. The product is expected to launch nationally this year. |
