SABMiller Acquires Russian Brewer Vladpivo |

LONDON: SABMiller PLC has announced the acquisition of the Russian brewer LLC Vladpivo.
SABMiller did not disclose the cost of the transaction, but said Tuesday that the gross assets of the Russian company are $69 million.
Vladpivo is based near Vladivostok in eastern Russia and has a capacity of 1 million hectolitres of beer per year.
It will become the third Russian production facility for SABMiller, which is the world's third-largest brewer.
SABMiller shares were down 1.4 percent at 1246 pence ($24.58) on the London Stock Exchange.
