A super premium London Dry Gin, Whitley Neill, is now available in the United States after a successful launch on its home turf in the UK. Whitley Neill is a boutique gin inspired by Africa—its signature botanical is the fruit of the iconic African Baobab tree, which also is featured on the packaging. Whitley Neill was launched by Johnny Neill, the fourth generation of the Greenall Whitley distilling family. Independently owned, it is produced with small batch distillation in antique copper pot stills, to a strength of 42 percent alcohol by volume. Nine botanicals, including the baobab and cape gooseberry, have been blended to create a smooth, bold gin with a flavor profile combining aromatic citrus zest with a warm cocoa-like finish. Whitley Neill donates 5 percent of profits from each bottle sold to Tree Aid, a charitable project in Ghana to fund the planting of 100,000 trees—including the Baobab—which will sustain local communities by providing building materials, food and medicine.
