Strawberry is Sweet 16
Friday, 25 April 2008
Bardstown, Ky.-based Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc., producers of the Burnett's gin and vodka franchise, have added strawberry as the 16th flavor to one of the industry's largest portfolios of flavored vodka. Burnett's Strawberry is the newest addition to the popular flavors, which includes Blueberry, Cherry, Citrus, Coconut, Cranberry, Grape, Lime, Mango, Orange, Peach, Pomegranate, Raspberry, Sour Apple, Vanilla and Watermelon.

Burnett's is an established vodka franchise with tremendous opportunity as one of the largest portfolios of flavored vodkas in the world. The new extension uses the same quadruple distillation and triple filtering process as the other varieties, providing clarity and superior smoothness, the company says.

Burnett's Strawberry Vodka is available in PET 1.75 liter and glass 1 liter/750 ml sizes and bottled at 35 percent alcohol by volume (70 proof).

"Flavored vodkas continue to enrich the growing diversity of flavors in the spirits industry," says Reid Hafer, brand manager for Heaven Hill's Burnett's franchise. "Strawberry is a strong addition to our Burnett’s portfolio and one, we hope, will help consumers to experiment and enjoy cocktails."

The launch of the new flavor will be supported by POS for floor displays and shelf facings, as well as sales education materials. Burnett's website, www.burnettsvodka.com, also will provide information and appetizing drink recipes for all the flavors.
