Although there already are a number of energy drink brands out on the market using titillating names or provocative imagery to get noticed, nothing quite sells desire like the iconic Playboy rabbit head. And, with the growth of the energy drink market, it was only a matter of time before business-savvy Hugh Hefner got into the game. Launched in Boston in February, Playboy Energy Drink comes in 8.4-ounce cans in regular and sugar-free varieties. With stimulating ingredients such as ginseng root, guarana extract and damiana leaf, the energy drink has flavor notes of fruit and vanilla, according to the company. Launched jointly by Playboy and Play Beverages, LLC, the drink rolled out to Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles in March. It has a suggested retail price of $1.99 per can—-a small price to pay for the "good life."
