Meaf PET Conference Slated in Dubai |
|
Thursday, 07 February 2008 |
On Feb. 19 and 20, a new edition of the Centre for Management Technology's (CMT) MEAF PET—the conference and meeting point for major producers and users of raw materials, which mainly attracts companies from all over Africa and the Middle East—will be held in Dubai, in the Arab Emirates.
This year's conference will be held at the Hotel Radisson SAS; Filippo Pastorini, Africa and Middle East area sales manager for the Closures & Containers division, Sacmi Imola, will be the guest speaker on Feb. 20.
The first part of the meeting will be dedicated to a presentation of the company, an analysis of global and Arab cap markets and the use of compression in cap-making. For the Middle Eastern and African markets, Sacmi will be proposing the CCM48S and CCM24S respectively; both these markets show a steady growth in demand for sparkling and still drinks, in particular for the 30-by-25 closure for mineral water.
The second and final part of the presentation concerns the new finishes for bottles and plastic caps: these necks have been designed and developed by major players on the world beverage industry (Sacmi included) and have caused no small amount of market confusion. The aim is to provide clarification on this topic and present the various closures solutions offered by Sacmi. Finally, there also will be an illustration of the products—both injection and compression— that Sacmi can provide for pre-form producers.
The invitation to participate has been extended to all companies in the beverage industry (filling, labelling, packaging) and not just cap converters. For information, visit cmtevents.com. |
