Sweet Success Enterprises, maker of the diabetes-friendly beverage, GlucaSafe, which supports healthy glucose levels, is set to begin shipping newly produced product to fulfill purchase orders to the following destinations: Los Angeles, Portland, Dallas, Bloomington, Ill. and Albany, N.Y.

"With the completion of our clinical trial by the end of the year, we are going to be well-armed to begin a stepped-up local area marketing campaign beginning in the Chicago area including most of the major markets in the North where our product is being sold," says William Gallagher, Sweet Success CEO. "This will include interviews with local
and national publications and installing our 30-second diabetes video both in-stores and on local diabetes websites."

Recently, the company says its had inquiries from a broker with distribution capability for the product in Canada and potential distribution in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which has a high incidence of diabetes within its population, reports the company.

Product statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. The products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease.

In addition, the company plans to investigate the option of offering a powder form  of the beverage.

"There are possibly some changes ahead for GlucaSafe if things continue to mature as they have during the initial eight weeks of the large regional roll-out of the product throughout the northern half of the US," says Gallagher. "Hopefully we are eventually going 100 percent organic."

The US organic industry grew 21 percent to reach $17.7 billion in consumer sales in 2006, the company reports.
