Cott Corp. Prepares to Throwdown

Cott Corp., Throwdown, energy drink, Throwdown Beverages Cott Corp. has entered into a joint marketing and sales initiative with Throwdown Industries to produce and distribute a new line of energy drinks named Throwdown under the Throwdown Beverages label.

"The decision to partner with Throwdown Industries is clearly strategic," according to Dave Vautrin, Cott Corp.'s vice president of innovations and marketing. "We wanted to partner with a credible, respected brand that has a high level of efficacy with the action sports consumer. Together, we will be able to leverage our resources, events, and promotions to reach a larger number of these core customers quickly and efficiently."

Cott has a total beverage product portfolio spanning more than 60 countries and serving most major global retailers. This newly forged relationship creates broad access to the action sports marketplace for Cott Corp. Throwdown Beverages are positioned to compete in this category initially with two different energy drinks.

Throwdown flavors, Classic and Rampage Punch—both available in regular and sugar-free formats—are specifically designed to "kick it up a notch" by providing double the energy than the average drink in this category.
