 The inspiration for Odell Brewing Co.'s Extra Special Red Ale came from Egyptian mythology--beer colored with red ochre was used to pacify an angry goddess and save the world from destruction. The third release in the brewery's Single Batch series doesn't promise to save the world, but it does deliver on flavor. The recipe was created on the brewery's five barrel system, adding hand selected whole flower hops to the recipe rooted in ancient Egypt. No worries though, the 8 percent alcohol by volume brew is available right here in the US in Odell's seven state distribution network.
