 The e/Dm truck body line from Hackney USA, a division of VT Specialized Vehicles Corporation, has been designed with special emphasis on ergonomic features. The line was designed for improved ergonomics, increased durability and reduced maintenance (e/Dm) Hand grips were enlarged to over two feet and moved to the outer partition edge for easy access, and the bottom rail was converted to a special C-channel to lower the first step location by six inches. On bay floors, aluminum extrusions with traction ridges replaced aluminum sheets to make floors more slip resistant. On more recent designs, Hackney has continued its focus on ergonomic features by adding smooth working pull-out steps with a traction grating surface and a telescoping ladder under the raised short bays to provide multi-step access and a lower first step.
