Carlsberg Names Joergen Buhl Rasmussen New CEO |

COPENHAGEN, Denmark: Carlsberg A/S has named executive board member Joergen Buhl Rasmussen as chief executive, effective Oct. 1.
He will replace the departing Nils Smedegaard Andersen, who will become the top executive of shipping company A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S later this year.
Buhl Rasmussen has been in charge of Carlsberg's business in Eastern Europe and its Russian joint venture since April 2006.
Before that the 52-year-old Dane held positions within Gillette, Duracell and Master Foods, among others.
The brewer employs more than 30,000 people worldwide. Its products are sold in more than 150 markets.
