Wikipedia, Meet WERCipedia
Thursday, 16 August 2007
The distribution community now has its own wiki.  It's WERCipedia, a new interactive online glossary for supply chain professionals, introduced by the Warehousing Education and Research Council.  WERCipedia contains an extensive searchable collection of terminology, acronyms, abbreviations and other information.

WERCipedia is a “wiki” that allows users to add new terms and modify definitions of existing ones. Users of WERCipedia can contribute terms or edit existing content, allowing members of the warehousing and logistics community to reference and define the language of the industry through a process of peer review and approval.

WERCipedia is located at WERC Online. It is free to use and is openly accessible to the distribution community.

This growing WERCipedia collection has 3,755 entries currently and is expanding from professional contributions.

WERCipedia is offered in partnership with Industrial Data and Information, Inc. (IDII).
