 Sacmi Imola S.C. has unveiled its cap and PET preform production solutions for compression and injection-made caps. Sacmi has developed a new system designed to make plastic containers use a continuous rotary system, with output rates that, until now, would have been unimaginable, says the company. The new CCM64M can produce 100,000 caps per hour. The company also is showcasing its 48- and 72-cavity complete mold--hot runner and cold half--plus an electronic visual inspection system for preforms. The company also has a compression machine to produce PET preforms. The Preform Advanced Molding (PAM) 48-cavity prototype machine currently runs 27,000 preforms/hour.
