Greifenberg, Germany-based inge AG has launched a rack design called T-Rack developed to offer technological and economical advantages. The new design features eight dizzer 5000plus modules, each with 50 m2 of membrane surface area, combined to form one basic unit. By utilizing this basic eight model unit, racks with more than 100 modules can be installed. A total treatment capacity of approximately 500 m3 per hour is possible from a single rack, the company says. A conventional rack design requires up to twice the footprint of the new T-Rack, according to the company. And, depending on the size of the plant, the investment cost for the total ultrafiltration system can be reduced by up to 5 percent or more using the new T-Rack solution.
