ImageFranklin, WI-based Krones AG offers two new bottling and packaging systems for the beverage industry. Capable of labeling 67,500 containers per hour, Krones’ newest Contiroll labeler (pictured) uses servo drive technology for both the label web reel holder and cutting unit. Krones’ servo motors allow for an immediate start, quick engaging and fast braking, while the cutting mechanism also is driven by its own separate servo motor. By quickly changing the vacuum cylinder, different containers and output ranges are handled on the same machine. At the same rpm, but with different vacuum cylinder pitches, the Contiroll High Speed can produce machine speeds ranging from 22,500 to 67,500 containers an hour, with label lengths from 240mm to 600mm. Changing over from one type of container to another takes only about 10 minutes, the company says. Krones also offers its Contiform S20 stretch blow molder, which incorporates the latest in high-speed process technology. Producing up to 1,800 bottles per hour per cavity, the system is available in various sizes from eight to 28 cavities. The Contiform S20 offers low energy consumption, high mechanical performance and fast changeover. www.kronesusa.com
