Magliner
ImageIn a booth that provided InterBev visitors with hands-on experience, Magline, Inc. (Pinconning, MI) celebrated its history—the company turns 60 in 2007—and showcased its latest innovations. First up was the company’s brand-new Powered Gemini, the first powered convertible hand truck. The Powered Gemini (pictured here in a demo held at the BevOps and Beverage Fleet Summit Conference), was designed to reduce stress on users and increase the safety and productivity of delivery routes. The unit can be used as a four-wheel truck with a capacity of 1,000 pounds or as a two-wheel hand truck. A powerful 750-watt motor, which runs in both forward and reverse at speeds up to nearly 4 miles per hour, assists workers, nearly eliminating the need for the pushing or pulling of loads. “Innovation is what Magliner is all about,” says company president Michael Kirby. “We spend a lot of time in the field with our customers and the Power Gemini is a result of that. We understand the issues related to the aging of the delivery force and expanding retail locations. This product reduces manual handling and is tailor-made for delivery in channels like airports, stadiums and campuses.” www.magliner.com
