Ball Corp. continued to demonstrate that wine, both still and sparkling, can be served in a can. The latest is its 200-ml aluminum package for Rich Prosecco, which it has rolled out in Austria and Germany. Also available in that market is the Twin Can (pictured), for the new Conelly Cocktails. The Twin Can consists of two 150-ml cans, one for the mixture of spirits and one for the fruit juices, linked together by a plastic ring. Because they are kept separate from the alcohol, the fruit juices are kept fresh longer. The company also offers a 200-ml slimline can for Cafe Kiss cappuccino. The can is affixed with a widget to ensure a frothy head. The company also showcased examples of how laser technology can turn cans into pieces of art, as demonstrated by Coca-Cola’s laser-designed can promotion in Ireland. Finally, what’s billed as the world’s first 100-percent stable ready-to-drink creatine product, Cell-Tech, was launched in the US market thanks to Ball’s FreshCan. The creatine is kept dry in a plastic capsule. When the can is opened, the ingredient is dispersed. ball-europe.de |
