At the World Tea Expo in Atlanta, GA, Ito En's Dr. Andrew Weil For Tea brand was a triple crown winner as the brand's Jasmine White received the "Best Flavor" and "Best Overall" awards in the ready-to-drink categories, while Darjeeling received the "Best Unflavored" award in the RTD category.

The products, which were the result of a collaboration between Dr. Weil, a leading expert in the field of integrative medicine, and Ito En were recently launched nationwide.
"We are thrilled and honored to have received these very prestigious awards from the World Tea Expo," said Rona Tison, vice president of corporate relations for Ito En (North America), Inc. "Having just launched the Dr. Andrew Weil for Tea line of products, this really validates our ability to continuously create a variety of teas to please the most discerning palates, while at the same time, delivering a product that supports a healthy lifestyle."
Jasmine White perfectly blends the softness of white tea with lush, fragrant jasmine green tea. Both have been treasured in China for centuries for their calming properties. Darjeeling comes from the famed tea region of India, which rises up the footsteps of the Himalayas, and deftly embodies the natural elements that give life to its tea gardens. The unique environmental conditions create a renowned, fragrant tea that cannot be imitated.

Dr. Weil will donate all of his after-tax profits from royalties from sales of Dr. Andrew Weil For Tea products directly to the Weil Foundation (www.weilfoundation.org). |
