Water Congress Comes to Mexico

Regional leaders, major producers and ground-breaking innovators, including Group Danone's Bonafont and Nestlé Waters, are scheduled to convene at the fourth Global Water Congress Sept. 12-14 in Mexico City, Mexico.
 
In light of the conference theme, Sustainable Growth, attendees will embark on a bottling plant tour and be given market briefing on flavored and functional water as well as environmental and ethical issues.

"The global bottled water market has achieved strong growth from a combination of affordable convenience and health benefit," says Richard Hall, Zenith International chairman. Zenith International in association with industry journal, bottledwaterworld, organized of the event. "Future growth, however, will only be sustainable if the industry increases its attention to ethics and the environment at the same time as focusing on innovation and product enhancement. We are delighted to be hosted by the world's third largest bottled water market this year to gain a truly global perspective on these issues."

The Global Bottled Water Congress provides a complete overview of the latest trends and developments from around the world as well as extensive time for networking and debate. The 2006 Congress visited San Pellegrino in Italy and attracted more than 250 delegates.

At a gala dinner, scheduled for Sept. 13 at the Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico in the city's main square, Plaza de la Constitución, the presentation of the bottledwaterworld awards will take place. Categories include best bottle in PET, best bottle in glass, best label, best enhanced water concept, best children's concept, best packaging innovation, best marketing campaign, best new brand or business and best sustainability initiative.
