Inspired by visits to the forests of France, Oak Cross is the newest malt whisky release from the 60-year-old Compass Box Whisky Co. Made from a selection of Highland single malt whiskies, all aged for at least 10 years, a portion of the whisky has undergone secondary maturation in casks specially made for Compass Box. Also, Oak Cross is the first product in the company's collection to sport a new logo, an image of a compass (an important tool of the cooper for making oak casks), and package design--a new, foiled edge with a pinstriped background.
