Global Beer Network, the exclusive U.S. importer for more than 60 Belgian beer labels, has announced the introduction of its first Czech beer, Praga Premium Pilsner. The company describes the golden pilsner as "crisp and refreshing with a strong, pleasant flavor" and 4.5 percent alcohol by volume (ABV). Praga, as with most Czech beers, uses less carbon dioxide which makes it less filling without compromising on taste.
The authentic Czech pilsner, Global Beer Network says, offers a classic, full-bodied beer that is rich in the distinctive Saaz hops flavor. Saaz hops are named after the Czech city of Žatec, which in German is “Saaz.”
This latest addition to the Global Beer family of brands is steeped in history in addition to offering great beer flavor. Praga Premium is brewed at the historic Piovar Samson, also known as the original Budweiser (Budvar) brewery located in the city of České Budějovice, Czech Republic. The brewery was founded in 1795.
“We offer beers that are authentic from the world’s best craft brewers,” said Steve Villani, president, Global Beer Network. “Praga and its historic roots in the European and Czech beer innovation fits our mission perfectly.”
Praga Premium Pilsner is available across the U.S. for a suggested retail price of $1.99 for a .5 liter bottle or $9.99 for a four-pack of 11.2 oz. bottles. It will soon be available in bottles and
